Rule:r...1....:....2....:....3....:....4....:....5....:....6....:....7....:
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█ Percent signs require special treatment.
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█┤ Library ├█ Although there are two ways to enter them, the way
█┤ OPEN! ├█ that always works is to preface them with a tilde.
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█▀█▀█▀█▀█▀██▀█ EXAMPLE: That is 10~% off.
█▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀█
It displays fine. In the editor one sees the tilde.

Rule:r...1....:....2....:....3....:....4....:....5....:....6....:....7....:
███████████ There is no way to write a Completion question with
█ Type █ a percent (~%) or tilde (~~~~~) answer.
█ answer █
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█ However, questions can be asked in other ways.
▄▄█▄▄▄█▄▄▄█▄▄
█:::::::::::█ Example: What number is associated with the
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ command line parameter for a file's name?
0
None

Sample: Question with ~% in answer - nothing special (would work with tildes)
Rule:r...1....:....2....:....3....:....4....:....5....:....6....:....7....:
John is 20 years old. Mary is 10 years old. How much older is John
than Mary?
25~% 50~%
75~% 100~%
D
Note, in editor, there is a tilde after each percent.

Actually, if ~% is followed by a space it works - special case
Rule:r...1....:....2....:....3....:....4....:....5....:....6....:....7....:
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█┤ Library ├█ The percent rule is that one can not use a "~%" sign
█┤ OPEN! ├█ as part of an input answer.
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█▀█▀█▀█▀█▀██▀█ And, to enter the percent sign preface it with a
█▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀█ tilde (~%).

Display Tilde
Rule:r...1....:....2....:....3....:....4....:....5....:....6....:....7....:
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█ Tildes are not supported by the CAI Utilities, such as
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█ CAI Renumber at this time.
█┤ Library ├█
█┤ OPEN! ├█ However, they can be displayed as part of all questions.
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█▀█▀█▀█▀█▀██▀█ You just can't have a tilde or percent sign as part
█▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀█ of the answer for a fill-in. (It can be part of the
question.)

Tildes
Rule:r...1....:....2....:....3....:....4....:....5....:....6....:....7....:
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█ To illustrate, the grave is used rather than a tilde.
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█┤ Library ├█ Tildes may be displayed by entering four (````),
█┤ OPEN! ├█ but they will not pass the CAI Utilities.
█▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓█
█▀█▀█▀█▀█▀██▀█ Simply develop your program, inserting four graves for
█▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀█ each tilde, and when finished replace those with tildes.
However, do not use the utilities again or they will be erased.
;
;
97 = Q 7 = 113
; [move ` item three spaces right when changed to tildes)
MC4
To make these display as tildes, change the graves (`), to tildes (````).
Ruler...................................................end=
